Journal your Storry Prompts-January-October 2025

Hello Sparkly Owlettes!

I started the Journal your Story prompts this year as part of the ‘My Story” journal kit. Although I am several months behind, my goal is to have all the prompts completed in my journal by the end of the year. I do love the idea of this project and would love to continue in 2026, but maybe cut down on the number of prompts. I wanted to share all the downloadable files here for you. Also, I keep telling myself, I don’t have to add all of these in one journal, they it can be spread throughout your journals and planners. For example, all my vision boards are in my planner, so I can reference them throughout the month.

A Quick Flip of My Journal History

Hello!! I wanted to start a little series into how I journal. I’ve been journaling for years and over the last 10 years I have combined my love for scrapbooking and journaling into one magical journal to document my story. I wanted to start with showing you how I have evolved… Hope you enjoy the video! The next video I will show you how I set up a my journals when I start, I will be using a composition book. Journal with Me~ journal your story: and Away We Go

Hello and welcome back to another Journal Your Story entry. Today’s Prompt is “and Away we Go” I am still using the journal cards by Vicki Boutin from the ‘Journal Your Story” CWR Kit. In this video I am closing out the month of February with the last entry of the month. This weekend we spent a Girl’s weekend planning out “Camp Wonderland” I have been hoarding Alice book pages from a Little Golden Book to use throughout the planning and the actual event. I hope you enjoy the video and are inspired to create!!

Creative Journal Your Story: 1~ Hello

The “Journal Your Story” Video Series is a way to kick off the New Year, with telling your story. If you are a memory keeper, scrapbooker, journaler, photographer, or social media queen… we all tell our story. I sometimes hear from others, “I don’t have an interesting life and don’t know what to write or journal about” Well, here are just a few questions you could write about:  What is your weather? What do you like to eat? What are your favorite clothes you like to wear? Are you reading anything? What are your dreams? This is your story… and adding all the fluff…washi, ribbon, ephemera, stickers.. is just a bonus! 

Inside this past CWR kit there was a set of journaling cards (from the Vicki Boutin Paper Line) with “word prompts” In this video series I plan to use those words as prompts. In case you were unable to purchase the kit, here are the words so everyone can play along!!

Nostalgic School Day’s Memory Video 5~ Favorite Teacher

Welcome back to Video 5 in the Nostalgic School Day memory documentation. Today we are documenting Your Favorite Teacher! Who was your favorite teacher? What grade? What was their name? What did you love about them? Or maybe you have a least favorite teacher? Tell the story why you did or didn’t like them. Let’s document it! I created an library envelope and filled with colorful library cards, one for each teacher. Then I wrote a memory about each one. Also sketched out a small map of my old playground! Now let’s play!!

Welcome back to Video two in the Nostalgic School Day memory documentation. Today we are documenting LUNCH TIME! Who remembers what they ate for lunch? Did you take a lunchbox or buy from the school? Below you will find a printable of a lunchbox, school milk shape and words.
