Hello! I have had LOTS of question on what and how I choose photos and what to document from week to week in my “Life at a Glance” Happy Planner. I thought the easiest way to show my process is to document a whole month. Some weeks are filled with activities and others not so much. So here is week one of March! Happy Memory Keeping!

Hello and Happy March! In this video I show you my process in creating the beginning “introduction” page for the month of March. This is the page that is at the beginning of each happy planner, I changed it up a bit to include “Right Now” information. Information such as what we are dreaming, making, pinning etc. I love adding this information at the beginning of each month, its fun to reflex on and see what were we doing and feeling!

Hello! As part of my goal for 2019, I wanted to start journaling again every single day. I use to be so diligent about keeping up with my journal but life gets busy and then several days go by, then weeks and before you know it months. I wanted to fill these journals with stories while adding pictures and ephemera. Here is a flip through of my first completed journal. I can’t express how excited I am and glad I have made this commitment.

Me? Published! Wow I was so excited and thrilled to be even considered. My creative pen guru, Angel with PenGems suggested that I be interviewed for the publication out of Dallas, Texas called the Voyage Dallas Trail Blazers. I was sent a questionnaire with questions to answer about myself and my business along with any advice that I would give to anyone coming into business as a creative entrepreneur.
So first up, I had to know the meaning of a Trail Blazer, so this is what googled told me a person “who makes a new track through wild country, a pioneer, an innovator.” Now I know I’m not the first person to go on this journey, but I am the only one that is going on MY journey. I have to say in this stage of my adventure the number one thing I tell myself over and over is to NEVER EVER give-up. I took on this business motto back in 2012 when I decided to start my small business. Throughout my life I had started so many creative outlets, I took floral design, I started a handmade business right after my son was born, and I created different crafts and sold them to friends. All these times I just quit when it became too hard or I didn’t really know the next step. In 2011, I discovered blogs and it opened my eyes widely to so many creative types and finding my tribe. This is when my dreams began to take a direction, I believed that it is possible to do what you are supposed to be doing, in my case it’s being an artist, and make a living. Not as a starving artist but as a creative entrepreneur. Using my creativity to inspire others to create and have a whole lot of fun in the process.

Hello! Hope everyone had a great Sunday and Mother’s Day! Here is central Texas we already have had extremely warm days and they will not stop now through October. Usually by the time mid-July through early September we are indoors in the air conditioning trying not to melt. However, I love welcoming summer through journaling! It’s a time for family, relaxing, taking vacations and really getting memories on paper. This year we are planning more staycations and looking to visit different museums, festivals and events close to home. I’m really looking forward to exploring and having new adventures. Similar to what I created at Christmas, I wanted to create a mini video series about Summer Journaling. So welcome to the first video in the Summer Journaling video series . I thought it would be fun to share some of my techniques and maybe inspire you. This series will include 6 videos to be posted on Sunday evenings, CST. In this video, I talk about past scrapbooks and journals I have used and what I plan to use this year. Hello!!! Happy National Scrapbook Day, one day later! I am about 6 weeks behind in memory keeping in my Happy Planner so yesterday, laye evening I started working to get caught up. I created this video to show you my process of making a coversheet for the month of May 2018. At the beginning of each month in the Happy Planner there is a section to list your current happenings and a quote page. I like to cover the quote page with either a theme of the month or current pictures. For the month of May I created a collage of pictures to represent Mother’s Day. Here in my process video.
