Nostalgic Summer Memories~ Video 3: Documenting Using HEARING

Hello and welcome back to Nostalgic Summer memories using your senses. In today’s video number 3, I am showing a way to Document using your sense to hear. Music and television was a big part of our summer as a kid and in this video I show how I am documenting them. It’s very different then what it is now because once the good shows were over then boredom kicked in. Thankful for my sisters so I did have someone to play games and other activities. I created a pocket envelope and mini junk tag that resembles ice cream and the ice cream packaging.

February “Love Letters” Printable

February is right around the corner with all it’s pinks, reds, hearts and of course chocolate. Growing up I LOVED February for just this reason… Valentines Day. I can still see a visual of me sitting on the bus with my box of valentines ready to be handed out to my classmates. I also remember making valentine boxes out of shoeboxes and paper plates and hang for all your friends to fill with cards. Then I became a teenager and a young adult and experienced having a NON-romantic boyfriend during Valentines and I remember breaking up with this boyfriend because he did absolutely NOTHING for this special date meant for LOVE. I also remember working in an office environment feeling less love because everyone else in the office received a large bouquet of flowers and my desk sat blah with NO flowers, chocolate or love notes. Now that I’m older and wiser (wink, wink) I do not put so much emphases on receiving Valentines to make me feel important or loved. Now, I enjoy the hearts and all the pinks and reds for the fun and LOVE of it all. So in the midst of the season to spread love I wanted to share one of my girls “Love Letters” with you. Junk Journal your Christmas Series No.3~ Nostalgic Additions

Welcome back to Junk Journal Your Christmas Video series number 3. In this video I show you different ways to add nostalgic memories and document about Christmas past. I love telling stories of loved ones and how we celebrated Christmas in the past. I am including two free printables below to use in your journal, they are of scanned in vintage hankies.

Now, let’s talk about the remainder of the Journal your Christmas series. In the upcoming videos I want to talk photos, embellishments and daily numbers.  I had planned on creating one video showing embellishments, but I think I will create a series of short quick videos. I have ideas to make wands, bookmarks, tassels, and junk bows. Let the Merry Making begin!

Summer Journaling~ Week One Choosing your Journal

Hello! Hope everyone had a great Sunday and Mother’s Day! Here is central Texas we already have had extremely warm days and they will not stop now through October. Usually by the time mid-July through early September we are indoors in the air conditioning trying not to melt. However, I love welcoming summer through journaling! It’s a time for family, relaxing, taking vacations and really getting memories on paper. This year we are planning more staycations and looking to visit different museums, festivals and events close to home. I’m really looking forward to exploring and having new adventures. Similar to what I created at Christmas, I wanted to create a mini video series about Summer Journaling. So welcome to the first video in the Summer Journaling video series . I thought it would be fun to share some of my techniques and maybe inspire you. This series will include 6 videos to be posted on Sunday evenings, CST. In this video, I talk about past scrapbooks and journals I have used and what I plan to use this year.
