I show you a few techniques for securing an extra thick journal and adding a pocket page protector for additional pockets to add sparkle to your journal. This is one of my favorite things to do each month. To create and start a new journal! it’s like having a new beginning. Hello! In today’s video I show a little something new I have been experimenting in my journal. So many times I do not have time to write full blown journal pages but I want to capture the days using one sentence or possibly a significant date (birthdays, anniversaries). I have started to create “a week at a glance” in my Cahier size Junk Journal. I use a combination of stickers, stamps and ephemera to set the week. Once the week is set I use the next pages in my journal for writing more details and adding photos and ephemera. I hope you are inspired to create in your journal today!

Hello! All I can say is that sometimes life is a work in progress, my intentions of documenting memories each week in my “Life at a Glance” Happy Planner is quite behind, but it’s getting there. I bring you Week 2 of March 2019. In this video, I used very minimal supplies stickers, washi, cardstock and a magazine cutout. I love when a page is complete.

I am so excited to be completed with the introduction to my One Little Word Journal. I use the prompts from Ali Edwards “One Little Word” class to guide me in setting the tone for the new year and what I plan to accomplish. This is one of my favorite projects. I start out with writing about the past year and setting goals for the new year. This includes my creative business, my family, my home and just different aspects of my life. I also incorporate my One Little Word into the goals I want to set for myself for the upcoming year. This process sometimes takes a while but it’s worth it because at the end of the year, I will go back and reference and look at where I have come or what didn’t quite work out the way I expected. In this video, I show you a flip through of my SHINE journal. I plan to use this for the monthly prompts and just when I need to journal about my word. I used a composition notebook and in the video you will see how I construct and plan to use it. Thanks for watching! Rebecca
