Working in my Creative Daily Journal today and setting up the into pages. My intro includes a printable from the ‘Owlette Club Printables” and ephemera from the “Garden With-in” kit. Also added a calendar to the front.
It’s a new month, which means a new journal! So excited to start this month with flowers and fluff. This month’s theme is “The Garden Within” and I’m using vintage fabric I purchased this last weekend at a Junk Shop and fluff from Hobby Lobby to finish the cover to my journal.
Also, I’ve had a new idea brewing for a while, I’ve been wanting to incorprate the monthly journal kit into my everyday life. The kit will inspire The Owlette Club printables, prompts, crafty projects and little things we can have fun with together. It’s a way for me to “create the life I want to live” in other words. The monthly theme will inspire my personal creative process into something I do in everyday moments. As I mention in the video, this can be adding to my journal, decorating my home, and my personal style too! I hope you will come along and play too!
I have been dreaming of creating a stand-alone journal for Little Craft Fest memories. I went back and forth on if I should just use my daily journal, but I wanted something to create something similar to an autograph book and add ephemera and photos from the event. I will be there for three days, teaching and meeting up with friends. Some in person for the first time! I truly cannot wait, I’m so excited. In today’s video I am just putting together the journal, and I want to add paint and material to the cover, so that will be coming soon!
Coming to you from my kitchen island with some journal play and a bit of a “Stinky” Story! I hope you enjoy the video and hope to be back in my craft studio soon!
This month is all about Rainy Days and Rainbows! As suggested in the Owlette club, here are some of the ways to add a bit of rainbow to your journals.
wear a color that makes you feel happy (Take a picture and add it to your journal)
make a rainbow snack or drink (add the recipe to your journal) take a “color walk” and notice bright things (pick your colors before hand and take photos along the way)
Add the pictures to your journal and tell what and where you found the colors*** I’m really excited abut this one!
• create a cozy rainy‑day ritual (Even if it isn’t rainy, what do you love to do on a rainy day)
• write a list of things that feel like happy bits of sunshine I hope you enjoy this month’s printables! Have fun creating!
Yesterday I took a walk around the yard and snapped photos of colors, here is a short video:
Welcome to Part Two in setting up my April Journal. I’m adding a calendar to my journal in this video. Loving using all the colors to create this month!
I have missed you and missed posting a video last week! I am now finding time to set up my April Journal, it was a whirlwind week, last week. I am playing catch-up on my April Journal. Here is part one to setting up April’s intro page.
I hope everyone is doing well. It’s Easter Week and I will actually be heading out of town for my day job. However, I am hoping to film a couple of videos so I can upload them this week. Also, the monthly printables are coming ut on the first for the Owlette club!
Attached below is a Printable to use in your journal. The printable includes two vintage postcards from the early 1900s, which belonged to my Great-Grandma.
I hope everyone has a blessed week and safe travels for anyone traveling.
I am behind in my creative daily journal but had pictures to add, so come along , grab your favorite beverage and let’s journal together! Filling you in on the what’s been happening around here. Nothing too exciting except we are chicken owners again, full story in the video. I have a printout for an upcoming journal session, Grandma’s Bucket List, and sharing my grandma’s lemon pie recipe.

I wanted to share my grandma’s 3-ingredient lemon pie recipe. The crust can be changed from vanilla wafer (my grandma called them tinys), Graham Cracker crust or a regular pie crust.
